Look Fantastic’s November beauty box has definitely got me in the mood for Christmas with its special edition gold box design. It’s the second of 3 special edition boxes, so make sure you don’t miss out on the December one if you’re loving the gold as much as me.
This is the first Look Fantastic beauty box that I’ve tried and I have to admit to being pleasantly surprised. I’ve become a bit disillusioned with certain other brands lately as they keep churning out the same thing month after month, but inside this box there’s a decent range of products from some good quality brands.
BellaPierre seems to be popping in quite a lot in beauty boxes at the moment, and this bright red lipstick is the perfect festive shade for a pop of colour. It’s the only full-size item in the box which is a bit of a shame – the rest are all luxury travel sizes. It’s a shade that can be worn by pretty much any skin tone, and the satin finish is creamy on the lips and not drying at all.
Any beauty box with REN is will always get my vote and this 15ml sample of their V-Cense Day Cream is one of my favourites. It’s amazing for anyone with drier skins as it can be quite rich and works really well to brighten the skin and hydrate it throughout the day.
If you’re going away any time soon, I’d recommend popping this handy sized Guava shower gel from Korres in your travel bag. It’s more than enough for a week away and the fruity scent smells good enough to eat.
I’m a little bit disappointed with the size of the Dr PawPaw tinted balm. While it’s a lovely product, it’s not particularly pricey for a full-size tube (about £7) so it would’ve been nice to see a larger size in the box. The tint itself is quite subtle and works well used on the lips or dabbed on the cheeks for a glossier blush.
Last up are two travel-sized samples of Ole Henricksen’s Foaming Cleansing Milk and Kebelo's Enriching Mask. I’ve not tried either of these before but do like Ole Henricksen as a brand in general so I’ll be intrigued to see how the foaming cleanser performs.
I’m looking forward to seeing what pops up in the December box. I’d love there to be one or two more full-sized products, especially as it’s the last box of the year and they tend to be a bit special.
The Look Fantastic beauty box costs £15 per month including postage without a subscription or alternatively can be ordered with 1,3,6 or 12 month subscriptions at a discounted rate.
