Rodial are often associated with their controversially named body products, such as the Size Zero range, and while these may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I would definitely recommend taking a look at their Glamsticks.
Blow is a bright, blue based pink shade in the tube, which when applied looks a lot softer, although it’s definitely still visible on the lips. I have a bit of a thing for hot pink lip shades (seriously, it’s an obsession), which can look a little bit much for in the day time, so Blow has become the perfect answer for me. If hot pink isn’t your thing, then there are 8 other shades to choose from in the range – all have the same yummy coconut scent.
Glamsticks are a little similar to Revlon’s Lip Butters, however while I found those to be a bit slippy in texture, these remain firmly on the lips and one application will easily provide about 4 hours of colour and hydration.
The shape of the balm works really well – I can easily apply this without a mirror, without having to worry about product ending up all over my face. Bonus. At £25 each, these are a lot more expensive than any other lip balm I’ve ever tried, but I can’t lie, I’m totally hooked. I’m justifying my repurchase already by convincing myself that it’s like a two in one product, so is therefore value for money. *ahem*.
QVC currently have a set of 4 glamsticks on offer for £27, which would be a great way to test them out at a fraction of the cost – just don’t blame me if you fall in love with them. You can find Rodial’s Glamstick range on QVC, online from Rodial, in Harvey Nichols and online from Space NK.
Have you tried Glamstick’s before? Do you like the sound of these?
