High street beauty favourite Superdrug are having their 50th birthday this year, and to celebrate, they’ve teamed up with beauty subscription box Glossybox. In this month’s box, they packed in a massive range of full and travel sized products all of which can be found in your local Superdrug shop.
Before I even opened my box, my initial impression was’ wow, this is heavy!’. Once I opened it up, I saw why! Inside my box, I received 5 full sized products, plus two minis – a pretty impressive selection.
I received:
- Max Factor Facefinity All Day primer - £10.99
- B. lipstick - £7.99
- Schwartzkopf Crystal Shine Conditioner £4.99
- Scholl Velvet Smooth Night Foot Mask - £7.99
- Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara - £6.99
- Ghost Eclipse perfume sample
- Garnier body lotion sachet
Out of all of these, I’m most excited about the Max Factor Primer and B. lipstick. B. are Superdrug’s own brand range and make some fantastic quality products are reasonable prices. This lipstick is a sheer formula that feels really moisturising on you lips, and I can see it being an easy daytime shade for me to wear.
The Max Factor primer is quite a new launch, so it’s great to see it included in a beauty box. It’s designed to help mattify the skin and can be used either before your makeup as a traditional primer or you can apply a small amount on top of your makeup to help reduce shine. I love a good primer, so here's hoping this will help keep my t-zone at bay throughout the summer.
The Scholl foot mask is something I don’t think I could ever see myself buying normally, but as summer is almost here and my sandals are crying to be worn, it’s probably time that I take better care of my feet, so I will definitely be giving this a try!
I’ve tried Rimmel’s Scandaleyes Retro Glam mascara before and wasn’t a massive fan, so I might see if a friend wants to test this one out – I am ridiculously fussy when it comes to mascara, and this one was quite wet and a bit clumpy on my lashes. It’s meant to give a 60s inspired look (which to be honest, was quite big and spidery in terms of lashes) so if you want to achieve that easily, then this is a good mascara for you.
Last but not least is the Schwartzkopf Crystal Shine Conditioner. I’m always open to trying anything that helps make my hair look soft and shiny, especially at a bargain price like this (£4.99), so hopefully it will deliver!
All in all, I think this has been a great month for Glossybox. The box costs £10 + £2.95 postage and considering the value of the contents are worth over £30 it’s very good value.
Are you signed up to Glossybox? What do you think of this month’s contents?
