Bright nail polish is must have for the summer and the latest collection from Deborah Lippmann has definitely got this covered. 80s Rewind is a collection of six 80s inspired nail polishes, all named after some of the top songs of the 80s. Not only will the polish names make you want to sing along to long-forgotten tunes, but the colours will see you through summer without a pastel in sight.
In the collection you’ll find:
She Drives Me Crazy* (pictured) – teal
Walking on Sunshine – vibrant yellow
Whip It – hot pink
Don’t Stop Believing – a bright orange-red
Video Killed the Radio Star – bold blue
Maniac – bright purple
It’s hard to choose my favourite from the collection, but She Drives Me Crazy might just take the winning spot. A creamy, glossy teal colour, it’s bright, bold and definitely stands out. I think it’s a shade that will work well on both fair and darker complexions and will no doubt look fab with a summer tan!
I used two coats for an even, opaque finish and topped it off with my trusty Seche Vite top coat. Lasting power wasn’t the best I’ve tried at two days without chips, but they do tend to show up a lot easier on these kinds of bold shades. Blues are very much the in thing at the moment, and I have my eye on Video Killed the Radio Star for an alternative pedicure colour.
Each polish in the 80s Rewind collection is £16 and can be found at Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, as well as online from Look Fantastic.
