Kiko Boulevard Rock collection review

Boulevard Rock is the latest limited edition collection from Italian makeup brand Kiko. Inspired by the alternative London underground music scene, the range comes packaged with lots of denim effect cases and some very cute detailing on some of the products.

I've been testing out a selection of products from the range, my favourite of which is probably the Street
Fashion Eyeshadow Palette*. Coming in a choice of four different colourways, the palette contains a mix of matte and shimmer shades that all blend well together. The packaging feels really sturdy, and the fun denim inspired case definitely looks different to anything else in my collection! £14.90 each.

Next up is the Rock Attraction Bronzer*. I almost didn't want to use this as the embossed zip design is so cute! The bronzer is very finely milled and blends easily onto the skin. It comes in two shades (mine is the lightest), however I think you'll need to be quite tanned before being able to use this product as both shades are quite dark. I definitely recommend testing in store before buying one of these just to make sure you won't end up looking unnaturally brown. £15.90 each. There's also a range of 6 blushers with the same zip design that I think will be really popular and are £12.90 each.

Kiko nail polishes are great value for money and the new Denim lacquers* are no exception. There are eight, summery shades in all, and these have a semi-matte finish to them. They dry really quickly, and the three shades I've tested out only need two coats for a highly pigmented colour. £5.90 each.

The Rock Idol Lipsticks* are similar to a lot of the lip crayons currently on the market, and have a lovely creamy texture and matte finish. There are six shades to choose from in total, and I found that these lasted really well on the lips, but were a touch drying. £7.90 each.

Last, but by no means least on my list of things to show you is the Face Skin Glow illuminating day cream*. If you're trying to find products that will help you achieve that 'glowy' look to skin, then this is a definite must for you. It's a light moisturiser that's been enhanced with light reflecting particles that when used really helps to give skin an illuminated look. You can use it alone under make up, or dab a little on over the top of your blusher for a subtle highlighted effect. It's parabeen free, hypoallergenic and £13.90 for a 40ml tube.

The Boulevard Rock collection is in store and online at Kiko now - it is limited edition, so if you see something that catches your eye, don't delay too much before placing your order!

What do you like the look of from this collection?
