Gemporia jewellery review

When it comes to jewellery, I have to say I'm a bit of a magpie. I love statement pieces, but often opt for cheaper costume jewellery as the real deal is usually pretty expensive. I was recently introduced to Gemporia - a website dedicated to jewellery made with all kinds of gemstones, which are ethically sourced and at some seriously good prices.

They kindly sent me a piece to review from their massive range, and after hours of poring over their site, I finally chose this gold flash sterling silver and black diamond ring*. I love the simple shape of it, and think that the black diamonds give it a really unusual look. Black diamonds are sister stones to regular diamonds, but instead of that super sparkly finish, they have a sort of metallic shimmer which makes them very distinctive (and also a lot cheaper!).

This ring retails at £40, which I think is a great price - it's nice to have something that looks quite expensive, but at a price I can actually afford myself. All of the pieces are made in limited numbers, so while it won't be a one off, you know that you're unlikely to see someone else wearing the same piece. I have a feeling I'll be steering my family in the direction of Gemporia for potential birthday presents too!

What's your favourite type of jewellery?
