My New Year Resolutions

Once a year we all tend to sit down and make resolutions for the coming twelve months. This year, I’ve tried to focus mine on things I’d like to achieve, rather than on things I want to avoid. I’m aiming to make all of mine positive things that I can look back on at the end of the year, and know I made the most of my time.

New Year's resolutions

1. Spend less, do more - I seem to fritter a lot of my money away on lunches at work and quick trips to Boots. This year, I want to make more of my money, saving it up for trips away and interesting days out, so that I feel like I’m making the most of all the fantastic options out there.

2. Say ‘yes’ more often – the older I get, the less adventurous I seem to become. This year I want to start saying yes to more things, even if they seem a bit scary to start with.

3. Sing - I’ve sung in bands on and off for the past ten years and loved it, but since I started commuting to London for work, I’ve found it hard to fit this in and had to stop. I’m eager to dust off my microphone and find some way of making singing a regular thing again.

4. Keep the blog interesting – I started my blog at the end of 2012 and I’m amazed at how far it’s come in just over a year. The challenge for me in 2014 is to keep new ideas coming and keep things fresh and exciting!
