Primers are designed to help give your foundation a smoother surface to be applied to and can also help your makeup last longer on your skin.
Dermalogica's Skin Perfect primer* helps to smooth, protect and condition skin, helping to create a luminous finish. It contains an SPF 30, making it a great base for underneath makeup.
I've always thought of Dermalogica as a skincare brand, but I've been pleasantly surprised by this primer. It's a silicone primer, and also contains peptides and amino acids to help boost skins natural cell renewal.
To use the primer, squeeze a small amount out of the tube and apply lightly to skin using your fingers or a small brush (I prefer my fingers). You only need a tiny amount to cover your whole face, so do be gentle when squeezing! As the primer has a slight tint to it, skin immediately looks more even. You can use the product alone but I prefer to use it as a base for my makeup. It helps my makeup go on really easily and look flawless throughout the day. It has a slightly medical smell to it, but this doesn't transfer onto skin and disappears pretty quickly.
I usually find that silicone primers break me out, but I haven't had any issues with this one, which has really impressed me. It also keeps my foundation looking great for hours and even after a 14 hour day, I still have some makeup left on, which is pretty unusual!
The primer is quite pricey at £37.50 for 30ml, but as it's the only silicone primer I've found so far that doesn't immediately bring me out in spots (even after a week's daily use), I'm sold! You can find it at Dermalogica counters and online from Look Fantastic.
What do you think of this primer?

This sounds really interesting and although i like to spend quite alot on highend makeup and skincare i find this too pricy for what it is!
