A chance to chat with some of the most knowledgeable names in beauty, it was an opportunity not to be missed, especially as my Twitter favourite, Daniel Sandler was going to be there (Daniel, if you read this, I apologise for coming across like a stalker).
The event was ticketed, but you got to spend your £15 fee on products in Beauty Mart at the event, which is not hard to do, let me tell you!
I had a great chats with Chris James - a yoga guru, who has launched a 12 day cleanse system, now available in Beauty Mart. We had a quick chat about my *tiny* addiction to sugar, and he recommended trying out some food supplements to help combat this.
I also had a quick chat with Paul Yacomine, celeb hairdresser, who told me all about his range of hair care products. Rather than creating traditional shampoos/conditioners and styling products, he's focused on the treatment side of things and developed a small line of serums and oils for different hair types. He kindly gave me a sample of a serum for fine hair, so look out for a review on that soon.
The piece de resistance of my evening was getting a makeover from Daniel Sandler. After telling him to just 'do what you like', I came out with a colourful, bottom-lined eye that I would never have chosen myself initially, but absolutely loved it! We also got to have a good chat, which was lovely after tweeting randomly for ages.
I ended up redeeming my ticket fee on the Barry M TMLP lipstick (review here) and a sea salt spray from Balmain. I had planned to buy a Daniel Sandler watercolour blush, but the shade he recommended for me wasn't in stock at Beauty Mart, so that shall be an internet purchase for me.
It was a fabulous evening and I highly recommend buying a ticket if they do another one!
