As a pale faced lady, it can sometimes be tricky to find good foundations. The BB cream world is even more tricky as most are made in one shade. I've tested 5 different BB creams to see which one works best for pale skin.
Testing these 5 BB creams |
L-R GOSH, Deborah Milano, Dr Renaud, Ginvera, Dr Jart |
GOSH* - This is the lightest of all the BB creams I've tried and matches perfectly on me. It's a very light texture - more of a tinted moisturiser than a BB cream. This comes in 5 shades and retails for £9.99.
Deborah Milano - Coming in 6 shades, this BB cream has a range that should match most people. Again, it has quite a light texture, but does offer a nice light coverage. It retails for £9.95 and can be bought online from their website.
Dr Renaud* - This BB cream smells like apricots (delicious!) and comes in 2 shades (the lightest is pictured). The texture is a little thicker, and offers light coverage. This one is more expensive at £25 for 50ml and unfortunately, even the lightest shade is a little too dark for me.
Ginvera - The first of the one shade products, the Ginvera BB cream offers a nice, creamy texture. It's far too dark for me, but may work for those of you that tan a little in the summer. 25ml retails for £18.
Dr Jart - This is the most 'traditional' BB cream formula I think, as it's much thicker than the others and offers a higher coverage. Sadly, it's one shade, and whilst this will work for most people, it's far too dark for my porcelain skin. It retails for £24 and can be found in most Boots stores.
There are lots of BB creams out there at the moment - next on my list to try are the Kiehls and REN ones. Fingers crossed they make light enough shades!
Have you tried any of these BB creams before? Any that I've missed that work for you?
