When did you begin to love makeup?
When I was at secondary school. I used to get teased when I was young because of my pale skin, red hair and the fact I wore glasses. I discovered that makeup made me feel better about myself and how I looked. I started out discovering things like mascara, and as I got older, I started to experiment more with eyeliner, different colours, and developed a bit of a habit for nail varnish!
How do you feel without makeup?
Naked! Seriously, I can quite happily go out without any 'face' makeup (foundation, blusher etc.) but without mascara and some eyeliner I don't feel like myself. My eyelashes are virtually transparent without it, so I don't leave the house without those as the bare minimum.
What do you like about makeup?
The way it can transform how you look and how you feel. If I feel a bit down, I pop on a bright lipstick, for a bit of glitz, some sort of glittery nail polish. It generally just makes me feel better about myself and more confident.
Name 3 'holy grail' items
Ok, this is very tricky to nail down to just 3 thing, so here are current favourites...
Lancome Hypnose masacara - it gives me the full lash effect I always want
YSL Touche Eclat - at a push I can go without foundation so long as I have this handy (still hunting for a cheaper alternative though!)
Bourgois 1 second nail polish remover pot - makes taking nail polish off so easy and quick, a must for when you change it as often as I do!
